Andrew Rodriguez's Experience
Throughout his career, Andrew has focused on accelerating the growth of SW/ Analytics and life science companies by addressing customer needs and often creating new market segments by commercializing novel technology.
He is currently an Executive Consultant and Chair of the Global Biopharma Connection Group on behalf of AJS Consulting Company LLC. He also serves as CEO of Great Road Group, which provides interim CEO services to emerging, high-growth life sciences and AI/technology companies as well as CxO mentoring services.
Before this, Andrew served in various leadership roles at MilliporeSigma, including Strategy Development and Business Development. During his tenure with MilliporeSigma, he charted a new growth agenda, laid the foundation for vertical integration, ran M&A, redefined the GTM, and accelerated market expansion into Asia. His distinct approach to translating market and customer insights into actionable strategy was transformational and drove investments in R&D, market adjacencies, novel therapeutics, and capital investments for expanding capacity. He was instrumental in launching the continuous manufacturing business and helped turn the formulation and single-use businesses around.
Prior to joining MilliporeSigma in December 2014, Andrew was a Senior Manager at Deloitte Consulting, where he advised F100 executives on strategic issues, including accelerating innovation, sales force effectiveness, valuations, restructurings, and post-merger integrations. He served as a leader in the firm’s manufacturing practice and helped build the pricing practice.
Andrew has been actively involved in innovation since starting his career with BELLCORE (formerly Bell Labs). He has been on the ground floor of early-stage startups, raising capital and driving sales, negotiating and closing partnerships for incubated businesses. He was part of SONY’s corporate development team in Japan.
Andrew serves on the Museum of Science’s Board of Advisors, the Harvard Business School Association of Boston’s Board of Governors, the Customer Advisory Board for Norstella, and the Latinos in Bio Board. He has also previously served on the boards of The Excel Academy charter school and is a founding member of the Milagros para Niños Council for Children’s Hospital Boston.
Andrew holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and an MEE from The Cooper Union. A native New Yorker with roots in Ecuador, he lives outside Boston with his family.
