Randy Martinez's Experience
Equity and Social Impact Practitioner. Randy served as the Chief Global Equity and Social Impact Officer for Pizza Hut’s Global operations, providing strategic advice and counsel to the Brand’s leadership on Equity, Inclusion, Belonging, and Social Impact goals and strategies in business planning, processes, and practices.
Randy joined Pizza Hut in 2022 from CVS Health, where he spent 17 years overseeing social impact programs through the company’s CSR function, building from the ground up and executing the enterprise’s Strategic Diversity Management strategies across all healthcare business segments, including retail, lead the function from a start-up to the 24th best across corporate America, according to DiversityInc.
As an Equity practitioner, Randy’s unique emphasis has been on operationalizing Equity through Supplier Diversity, Minority Franchisee efforts, Health Equity, and Social Impact efforts, as well as ensuring equitable people practices across all segments of Human Resources.
In his Social Impact role at CVS, he supported a five-year, $25 million philanthropic initiative designed to support programs for children with disabilities and other areas of philanthropic focus, such as programs for the uninsured and underprivileged.
He and his former team were responsible for awarding up to $75M annually in philanthropic and corporate contributions through community grants, disaster relief, product donations, two chain-wide annual campaigns (ALS and St. Jude), and an end-of-the-year Employee Giving Campaign.
At Pizza Hut, Randy’s transformative work was truly inspiring. He overhauled the 40-year-old BookIT program, turning it into a self-sustaining initiative. His efforts also secured up to $5M in round-two funding for social impact programs in the UK, South Africa, and Canada, leaving a lasting impact on these communities.
Randy started his career in Washington, DC, managing national non-profit organizations. He focused on lobbying efforts for small businesses, advocacy of social programs, Diversity and inclusion, and Supplier Diversity for Latino communities and markets.
Randy’s academic background further solidifies his expertise. He holds an MBA from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College, a testament to his business acumen, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from George Mason University, showcasing his strong communication skills.
