Roy “Chip” Wiggins, PhD

Chip Wiggins is Professor of Finance and the Director of the Bentley Microcredit Initiative. His teaching and research focuses on corporate governance, ownership and control. He teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in microfinance, corporate and financial strategy, advanced corporate finance topics and equity markets. His research interests include board of director effectiveness and compensation, executive compensation, and corporate expansions such as mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, and reverse takeovers.

Wiggins holds a Doctor of Philosophy and a Master of Science in Finance from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia. He has a Bachelor of Arts in English, with a concentration in creative writing from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida.
